Dominican Energy: Spreading Positivity Through Culture and Creativity against DEI

Dominican Energy: Spreading Positivity Through Culture and Creativity against DEI

In a time when discussions around Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) are evolving across workplaces, schools, and media, we wanted to bring a fresh, uplifting perspective through culture and creativity. At Little Story Co., we believe that DEI isn’t just about policies—it’s about celebrating identity, embracing heritage, and spreading good energy wherever we go.

That’s why we created “Energía Dominicana”—a design that embodies the spirit of resilience, passion, and joy that runs deep in Dominican culture. Instead of focusing on division or debates, we wanted to inject positivity and cultural pride into the conversation.

Why “Energía Dominicana” Matters

The phrase “Dando Energía e’ Inspiración” (Giving Energy and Inspiration) is more than just words—it’s a reflection of how Dominicans show up in the world. Whether it’s through music, food, or our unwavering hustle, we bring good vibes, strength, and community wherever we go.

With so much negativity surrounding the current DEI discourse, we wanted to shift the focus back to what truly unites people—culture, shared experiences, and the power of self-expression. Our brand isn’t just about selling merch—it’s about storytelling, connection, and making sure that voices from our communities are seen and celebrated.

Our Mission: Culture + Representation + Positivity

At Little Story Co., we design with a purpose:
✅ To celebrate Dominican and Trinidadian heritage with pride.
✅ To inspire joy, unity, and confidence in our community.
✅ To create designs that spark conversations and uplift others.

In today’s world, representation matters more than ever. But instead of just talking about it, we’re living it—through our art, our brand, and the way we highlight the richness of our culture.

What’s Next? We Want Your Input!

We’re thinking about turning “Energía Dominicana” into a merch line, and we’d love to hear your thoughts! Would you wear this design? What other phrases or cultural elements do you want to see represented?

Let’s keep this energy going and share your thoughts with us on our socials!

💙❤️ Stay positive. Stay inspired. Stay reppin’. ✨
